VERY nice stuff, Greg!! You helped me find a chord voicing that was right under my nose. Thank you! _________________ RETIRED

Yes Greg, I have a beautiful 1974 Sunburst Byrdland, all original. I bought it a year ago after searching for the right Byrdland for a couple of years. It's the best playing 6 string guitar I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of Gibson archtops and others. It's a 23.5" scale, 1 11/16" nut width, not exactly sure of the radius, but I'd guess 12", Gibson humbuckers. Wonderful for playing those stretched out chords for those of us that don't have Wes Montgomery hands! I bought a Gibson Midtown Kalamazoo a few years ago(also a wonderful guitar), fell in love with the short scale, and the rest is history. Thinking about buying a Taylor GS MINI to have a flat top with the same short scale. I always practice the steel with a 6 string next to me to help with voicings, licks that may be transferrable. _________________ 2016 Williams D12 8 x 8, 2015 Williams D12 8 x 8, 2023 Williams S12 4 x 5, Milkman Amps, 1974 Gibson Byrdland |
