Does anyone own, or have any information, or feedback of Pak-a-Seats made by Abe Troyer. I hear that they are hand made in "the heart of Amish Country". Hummingbird Music has them for sale at what appears to be a good price. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Duncan

I love my Amish chair from Hummingbird. The boys call it "Blue Chair". My significant other calls it "Big Blue". It gets a lot more attention than my steel. Every time someone asks about it, I always tell them that it was made in the heart of Amish country - and they always look at me kind of strange before I show them the label inside the cover.

Duncan, they make fine chairs. Mine has served me well through lots of travel. It's well-constructed and very sturdy. It's not light, but I haven't any other seat to compare - so it's probably typical weight for a pac-seat. I find the backrest essential for posture and the sidecar very convenient for my bars, strings, tuner, etc. Mine has a two-space bar holder and a place for picks inside the sidecar. I just flip it up during the show for string changes, bar switching, etc.

Thanks Chris. I'm sold. Your seat looks beautiful...hey wait a minute, that sounds a little funny. Let me try again. I like the folding storage chair that you bought from Hummingbird Music. I believe that I will save my money and purchase one. Thanks for all of your help, and the great pictures. I wonder if it comes in purple?

I'd like to see a purple one........if you get one of these, get a wild colour. Believe me, it will be the topic of conversation wherever you go. Let me know how it goes.
