My friend (lifelong P/P player and steel tech) is helping me get my recently acquired S8 p/p up to snuff. He sent me this parts list. Any info on best, and/or most economical while still being pro grade, place(s) to order these?
Also - the key head has long grooves in the nut instead of rollers. Want to remedy that. Thoughts?
Thx!

My advise would be to trade of the guitar you have for one with all the things already in place.

Jim Palenscar or Lynn Stafford or Jerry Roller would be a good source. Roller is my go to guy on my P/P's.

Marc, i can help with everything except the keyhead rollers. Early ShoBud and others did not have nut rollers. I not sure it is economically wise to upgrade that guitar, but if it is built like the pro model D-10 it probably is. I would like to see a photo of it. rollermusic@cox.net
If you can find a machine shop you could have the keyhead grooved for rollers. You can use string ends for roller as Carter Starter did. Or, a set of roller (used) should be inexpensive, in fact I do have some of those.
