Larry's an amazing talent, dear friend and all around great guy. The dude is brave too. For my b-day this year I went sky-diving for the first time. I invited several close friends and Larry was the only one to join me.
Yo, Andy, If you ever figure out what kind of "genius" (NOT) I am, please let know!
So stoked you're enjoying that sexy beast of a steel Michael!
Merry Christmas fellow forumites! |

No Comment on what kind of genius. It's out of my wisdom factor.
As for skydiving, Best fun you can have with your clothes on.
I used to go almost every weekend until I was up to 223 free falls and the 5 static line jumps I did in the Army.
Quit that in 1990 after an accident on #222 and just did the one more to "Get back on the horse" I do miss it from time to time and expect I'll go again some time. Misplaced my log books years ago.
Did it in Hollister and Lodi and twice did the 18,000 foot jumps in Davis that allow about a two minute free fall. They used to offer that special event twice a year I think. _________________ Inlaid Star Guitar 2006 by Mark Giles. SD-10 4+5 in E9th; http://luthiersupply.com/instrument-gallery.html

Howdy all! I hope everyone is hunkered down and staying safe during these very weird times!
It's just been to dang long since I posted a Makin' Chips video for y'all! Sorry about that!
Just put up a new one yesterday though and this time I'm going nuts over nut rollers!
Check it out here: https://youtu.be/r60glHKYjrQ
If there's something in particular anyone would like to see in a video, let me know. No promises, but your ideas will almost certainly help me in getting vids out more often.
Stay safe friends!! |

I'm such a fan of the Makin' Chips series. I've downloaded them all. I have a barrel of fun trading them with my friends! Well no. But I learn so much. |

I just received my brand new Sierra psg from Ross yesterday and I am completely blown away! It’s so fabulous and he was/is such a treat to work with, it was a dream. As someone who designs and builds things, I am profoundly impressed with the fit and finish. One cannot escape the quality and ingenuity - it looks like the future all refined and polished! The tone is full of deliciously blooming complexity and I am really looking forward to my new life with this magical instrument! |

Yup, busted....and now I'm showing off the real artistry....the hand cut inlays of Larry Robinson...considered by many to be the guy who wrote the book on inlay. And....he actually did write "The Art of Inlay". https://robinsoninlays.com
If you've ever seen the amazing and over the top inlay on Martin's millionth guitar, you've seen the work of this remarkably talented dude.
