BEST ? well that may be a hard question to answer. But I suspect we will hear from many as to which is best ! 
I carry an older Digitech Digiverb in the gig bag, it may not be the best in the world but when I need it it is CLEARLY THE BEST !
Its pretty darn versatile .

I thought I was the only one old enough to even know about these let alone possess one. guess I was wrong. I still carry one just in case I need it.  |

I use the Hall Of Fame with the Dan Danato toneprint download. The download capability is what separates it from the others. You can also create your own reverb using the toneprint editor download.

Wet Reverb is my favorite and recommender by many here on the forum.

| A few years ago I was using an amp with no reverb, so I picked up a Boss FRV-1 for not a lot of money. It really does sound like the reverb in my Fender amps! (They quit making them, and looks like they are going for crazy money now!) |

Funny , regarding the older Digitech Digiverb.
I just did a WEB check and apparently these units are still popular. They range in price from $40 ( GC Used site) to over $100 on Reverb.

while the reverb on the wet sounded great for me, it didn't really kick in until halfway through my volume pedal travel. it gave it a weird feel.
i tried the wampler spring mini; it's good, but a little too sproingy for me.
i tried the fender frv-1. the reverb was nice, but the pedal itself wrecked my tone.
i'm using the strymon flint. great sounding spring reverb, and beautiful plate sound as well. so far it's a keeper.
i've also tried the tech 21 rvb boost, and it sounds killer. |
