I am putting the Franklin change raising 1 and 7 a whole tone and 2 a half tone on a Zum rkr. can someone tell me how the best way to set this change up. It really stiff the way I have it.

Wade.
If you have adjustable helper raise springs on strings 1 and 7? And you should.Nows a good time to get all the help out of them you can. If that doesn't do the trick? You can increase the knee pedal travel a little and hook lower in the bell cranks.This change should not be a big deal on a late model Zum. I would set it up to use the 2nd string pull as a 1/2 stop for the F#'s to G#'s. You'll be glad you did. if you don't have helper raise springs.it's just going to be stiff. Adding the 7th string whole tone raise really loads the wagon.So to speak. What changes did you have on this knee before?? .......bb
