Super Slide!
->My price now is $800, shipped CONUS...Price new is $1,700+ship from MSA.

The MSA Superslide is on a number of the "Three Best Lap Steels, price no object" lists in a thread on this Forum...

The Superslide was developed to be a modern version of the Ric B6. It is shaped like a Panda, and made of epoxy-infused birch, acoustically similar to the bakelite of the Panda, but not fragile or temperature-sensitive like the Panda. The George L 10-1 pickup covers 6, 7, or 8 strings.

Mine now is a 6-string, but MSA offers a drop-in "Add-a-String" kit for $124.95 to make it into a 7 or 8 string in minutes - the pieces simply swap into pre-configured slots. It can be switched back-and-forth as needed.

I love the sound and the feel...I'm only selling it because I'm standardizing on long-scale steels - I find that I'm more comfortable with all instruments the same scale as my acoustic ones.

Here's a sample of how it sounds, from the previous owner..

Hey Steve, I loved that Superslide, and I too have been working to play only longer scale instruments- until something in shorter scale piques my interest. That little guitar does have a beautiful voice, and your price is certainly fair compared with a new one!
