Wow, even the backing track was steel? This is a good example of the (mostly) unexplored ways a steel can be used as a base tone generator. There are way more sounds that can come out of that thing than people imagine when they think "steel guitar."

I think somebody could scrape out a living recording soundtrack music for film using a PSG as one of the main voices, maybe along with a few other instruments. My ears always perk up when I hear it used like that and I want to hear more.

Thanks! I'm going to let you in on a secret...there was no backing track. All was generated live by the steel. Smile

What effects did you use? Obviously, things in the modulation category, but beyond that... I can't pin it down.

Steel -> Meris Enzo Synth Pedal -> Aqueduct Vibrato -> Grand Canyon Shimmer Delay -> Reverb -> Amp.
