Has anyone who owns the steel version of the Half n Half tried using it for bass guitar? I'm thinking of buying one and would be able to further rationalize it if it sounded nice through a proper bass cab as well. I imagine at 300 watts it could work. |

I have had bass players use the half and half combo with the stock neo 15รขโฌย speaker and they loved it. _________________ Bob |

When my band practices at my place the bass player uses my MMHH which has the Telonics 15". Sounds great. I think it would have plenty of power for gig level volume. _________________ Tom Dillon

Thanks for the feedback. I figure 300 watts with a fender-ish front end would sound great on bass. |

You have to have the right cabinet. I tried a bass through my combo amp (one of the first 4 made) and it rattled. Perhaps the later combo cabs work better.
It works fine for bass through my GK cabinet. _________________ -๐๐๐- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

In my case, I have the MMHH head and the Milkman large open back 15" cabinet. _________________ Tom Dillon

through a proper sealed and ported bass cabinet, yes, more than enough power and low end to get the job done.
Through a solid pine open back cabinet voiced for guitar, not so much...
but you did say you had a bass cabinet so you should be in good shape! _________________ Milkmansound.com |
