Thanks Lance. I watched that Spectrum video a while back and am interested in his take on the D9 tuning.

That part of the Spectrum video really grabbed me too. The tone he gets out of that little Teisco is out of this world.

Thanks Nick, nice to hear Alan talk about tunings, and the D9 that Merle used.... out of A6 tuning more than C6 .

The D9 that Alan uses (C6 with G flatted) is fun. Alan just taught me Andy Cummings' "Waikiki" in it (first time meeting face to face this week, when I was on Oahu). It's a useful tuning particularly for C6 users as it's just one string to adjust.
