Hi all,
I have an Emmons ST10 that I'm wanting to see if anyone might know anything about it's past history.
It's an Emmons re-issue lacquer push pull. I do know that it has been re-finished.
Serial # is 008 STR.
If you have any info, please chime in.
Thx, Pat

I can't offer any specifics but I do recall visiting the factory at the same time as these were being built. Several finished cabinets had lain in the basement for years and I believe that their existence was one factor that prompted the move. I'm assuming that these had push/pull end-plates.

I wouldn't doubt for a moment that some re-polishing or lacquering was necessary after years of neglect. That might explain the refinishing here.

Doug Palmer was actively building them at the time of my visit - early 2000s, perhaps?

Thx Roger, that's a start. Honored to hear from you!
I knew about the basement, & appreciate your input! Is Doug Palmer still around?
Thx, Pat

I'm pretty sure he is, Pat. I think I've seen him post on here in the fairly recent past.

That was only surmise on my part. I do recall going down there a couple of times and the cabinets were ingrained with dust and grime.

Still here. I did build a few reissue Push Pulls while at Emmons. They were very old bodies Tom Lashley built and were not used for cosmetic reasons. The dry wood made great tone. Bruce Troupe did the machine work. Really nice guitars.

Wow, thanks for your reply Doug! I appreciate the info! I'm in Va., bought it here, and trying to find any info on 'er since it's not in the normal run of PP's.
If you happen to recall anything else, or know anyone who might've bought a RI, if you have time, please dont hesitate to let me know.
BTW, did ya'll ever make a
re-issue ST10 C6 PP?.
Thx again, Pat

I understand that most of the re-issues were SD-10's but I bought a couple D-10's.
I sold one but still have one.
It has a cosmetic issue but otherwise is in great shape.
The cabinets might have some age on them but the hardware is brand new. Very Happy

Pat,
Let me give you some history on the one I sold.
It was a beautiful natural finished guitar.
I sold it to a Forum steeler and when he got it it was damaged.
I sent it via FedEx and they would do nothing about the damage so I took them to small claims court.
They put up a struggle but eventually I got them to cough up $4,800.
And the guitar wound up in a FedEx warehouse in Salt Lake City. Another steeler called me about the guitar and was going to bid on it. I never heard anymore about it after that. Rather a sad story. Sad

Thx Erv. I hate hearing damage stories! Sorry that happened, but at least you finally got some bucks back!
Mine is ok for the most part. I do know it was refinished. It has a small crack in the body but from I've been told that happens with laquer guitars. I've had 2 repairmen tell me it shouldn't be a problem, so I'm just gonna play 'er!
Thx, Pat

Pat,
Mine wound up with 3 cracks behind the changer after FedEx got through manhandling it! Very Happy

Hey ya'll
Still looking for anyone who might have info, or owned, or come into contact with this guitar. It could've even been a D10 at one time.
I would think there weren't that many reissue lacquer steels built with this color.
Also it had a 1" lower kit on it.
I also am interested in trading the LeGrande pedal board & pedals for original style
push pull pedalboard and pedals, wide or not wide pedals.
Thx in advance for any info!
