Has anyone tried the Telonics X10 or the 206 pickup in a Williams. Looking to try one.
Thanks |

Michael,
The Telonics X10 is a fantastic pickup! I supplied the one that Aaron installed in his Emmons.
I just wanted you to know that the Williams string spacing is a bit different than the standard 11/32", so the poles in most standard wide mount pickups won't line up very well with the strings. _________________ Best regards,

Thanks Lynn, That's the kind of fact finding I needed so I guess it will be the 206.
Thanks ever so much. |

I've had one for a few weeks. I'm a single coil snob. The X-10 is the best humbucker I've tried. It sounds quite good! _________________ Dave Zirbel-

i have used both the x10 (in a push pull) and the 206 (in a sho bud). both are fantastic. the x10, being adjustable, always makes me feel like i could make it sound better by spending more time adjusting it. this is, of course, all in my head. the 206 is somehow still my favourite of the three different telonics pickups i've had, and i'm sure it's because it's not adjustable. |

I know what you mean. I fiddled with it a bit but gave up. It sounds great. I found it works well (for me) with a JBL speaker. _________________ Dave Zirbel-

Absolutely ZERO info for X 10 pickups on the Telonics site. Where do you get info? |

from what i've been able to gather, telonics didn't really want to manufacture the x10 but were willing to do so to meet demand. their catalogue is pretty out of date, but they seem like people who would talk about their stuff if you called or wrote them. i feel like their pedal steel products are more about passion than a business plan. they make quite a few other products for non music consumers. this is just my sense of them from reading posts and their web page. |

I'm running an X10 in the E9th neck of my Red Zum Hybrid and loving it so far (formerly a 409) ...might have to try another one in the C6th neck. _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9
