Hey SGF buds,
I have a friend with a studio who's been bit by the bug and looking to get a Lap Steel. Watcha got that you're not using? It's new home would be with a worthy, super creative person using steel in interesting ways.
Goal is to keep it under $400. Ambitious, but not impossible, right? PM me if you have anything or a good lead.
He was looking at the newer import Gretsch steels, but I recommended to check here first. If anyone has personal experience with any of the newer import models and would like to share their thoughts, I'm all ears.
Much love. |

For less than $400 you can get a nice older Supro or any kind of Valco made lap steel. Better than the newer Imports for sure. if you keep your eye open and are patient you might be able to find something even nicer. _________________ KEVIN MAUL: Airline, Beard, Clinesmith, Donner, Evans, Excel, Fender, Fluger, Gibson, Hilton, Ibanez, Justice, K+K, Live Strings, MOYO, National, Oahu, Peterson, Quilter, Rickenbacher, Sho~Bud, Supro, TC, Ultimate, VHT, Williams, X-otic, Yamaha, ZKing. |

I'm with K Maul - I personally think the old Supro (and rebranded) Comet models are hard to beat in that price range. Check eBay/Reverb, there's a few currently under $400... |
