Just bought a 1974 MSA D-12 pedal steel that has one pedal not working. I know nothing about repairing and adjusting these things. Does anyone know of someone who services pedal steel guitars in the East Texas or Dallas/Ft Worth area? |

Mickey would be great or Henry Matthews who lives in Texarkana which may be close enough to drive there. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

Mickey and Henry are both great recommendations. You might also try contacting Mitchell Smithey , he works at MSA. _________________ Show Pro #26 & #83,BJS bars,Stereo Steel,Tommy Huff cabs loaded with JBL D130's, Wampler pedals,NV112,NV400, Steelers Choice Seats |

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already talked to Mitchell at MSA in Dallas. He said they only modify or service their current line of pedal steels. I'll check out the two guys you all mentioned for repair and modification. This 1974 MSA D12 has 8 pedals and 4 knee levers, no 5th vertical knee lever. One of the pedals doesn't do anything on either neck so something's disconnected somewhere. |

Hi Loyd I think when we spoke I said i wasn't taking any new repairs, i was snowed under. Sorry if I misrepresented myself. I do work on the older guitars and am almost caught up. Give me another try and I will work you in. |
