I forked over the money for the new Goodrich VP. I was worried about the cost vs. performance. I can say that, having used the pedal, my worries are over. This is a great pedal by my estimate. I've always preferred a pot pedal and this one doesn't disappoint. The "active" option is a winner as well. I'm much happier with my "tone/sound" and I haven't improved one bit, skill-wise. This wound up being one of those cases where the cost was worth it. |

Doc, I'm with you. Always preferred a pot pedal. Went through two active pedals. The Omni works for me and is a keeper. |

I have had so many players order the new OMNI pedal and all I have heard is rave reviews.
This, to me, is the highest quality pedal ever built by the Goodrich folks, and I have been a Goodrich dealer for some 30 years now.
I try to help out all my steeler friends with some special pricing.
If you are interested, drop me an email or call me. I will be happy to help you save some money.
Regards,
Bill

So with the new Omni pedal. If the pot goes bad (scratchy ) can you just switch to the active mode and continue? _________________ Twang to the bone! |

Larry.
The answer is no.
It is a pot pedal with a buffer built in.
However it will work without the buffer.
Hence, it is a hybrid pedal _________________ AUTHORIZED PEAVEY, George L's, Goodrich dealer. I have 2 steels and several amps. Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was an either/or. |

I like the height of my L-120 . Can I get the Omni in the same height as a L-120 ? Are they comparable in tone , other then the buffer? Thanks |

David,
The new ONMI Low Profile is almost exactly the same height as the L120.
As far as tone, it has the newest pot from Goodrich that is VERY close to the sound of the old Allen Bradley pot.
Comparison. I don't know what kind of pot you have in your L120.
Let me know if I can be of service.

Does the Omni require an AC adaptor, or walwart? _________________ Dave Zirbel-

It is powered by either the included wallwart or the internal 9v battery. Your choice _________________ AUTHORIZED PEAVEY, George L's, Goodrich dealer. I have 2 steels and several amps. The owners manual says a minimum of 500 hours on one battery, but Jim Palenscar, that builds them, said they ran one for 1000 hours and it was still going, so they aborted the test. With this kind of battery life, I don't see me ever using the power adapter. I carry it in my gig bag just in case. No walwart....I like this. |

I wonder if it's the same as the L10K pedal in the active phase? |

Jim,
NO, it is a completely new design.
Kindof a modified Matchbox 7A circuitry.
Switchable from Buffer or just a pot pedal. _________________ AUTHORIZED PEAVEY, George L's, Goodrich dealer. I have 2 steels and several amps.
