I put a set of strings on that I had for about well over a year. Put them on and began the tuning process. Usually bring them up to standard tune and they would stay in tune. But after a couple of weeks, every time I set down to play,
I have to retune and retune. So I had another set of strings that was about a year old and put them on and same thing. They won't stay in tune. My guitar is set in a spare bedroom in my house so the temps are staying about the same. Can a set of strings go bad like that or is there something wrong with the guitar. I have never had a problem like this before. Any suggestions? _________________ 1974

Try a different brand of strings (or a new batch). I've got year old strings (some even older) and no problem with them. |

Are you leaving enough wraps that the strings aren't slipping on the tuner? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
