This not about a steel guitar, but maybe someone can relate to it. I had a repairman friend of mine work on an old Silvertone Jupiter guitar. This guitar came out between 1959 and 1962. The selector switch has 3 positions treble, base and blender. After the repairs were made we noticed there was no control of the volume when the selector switch was in the "Blender" position. After acquiring a schematic this seems to be the way the guitar was designed. The owner doesn't remember how it worked. There is a blender pot that controls the balance between the two pickups Samic Music has come out with a reissue of this model. Maybe I'm missing something here but I just can't see why there isn't any control of the volume. Bill Paisley
