Just discovered this.
Play 5th string then hit the universal equivalent of the C6 Pedal 7. This raises 5th string a full tone.....now pull the string behind the bar to raise it another 1/2 tone.
I suddenly have a 5th string raise from G# to B.
I am finding a lot of nice uses for this. That P7 was originally a "C6" pedal but works great without lowering "E"s to "Eb"s

I guess you mean the 6th string? If so, I'm with you. Yes cool! The 7 pedal is also useful as a 7th-chord (two frets below "open" chord 6th string as root) Also as a minor 7 with the 7th string as root(E-Eb lever engaged of course)

Hey there!
Just to keep the multi-national aspect of this post up with a latin-american contribution...
for me it's REALLY hard to swing my leg from P7 back to A+B to use this pedal in E9th scale runs. I use it mostly in chords like SveinungL says. It's an alternate position for the same Major or minor chord 5 frets up starting on string 11 or 10. Depending on the direction you move, you have the exact same octave for the notes, but a little difference in tone due to the plain strings at the top... |

OOOPS, right, 6th string.
Thanks for the additional ideas too.
I´m´finding being able to pull behind the bar gives me a whole new world of possibilities. I don´t want more pedals...just more time to practice and find those pulls.
I find swinging my leg across from P7 to A+B difficult but not impossible. I´m hoping to master it.
