We will be having a three day steel guitar clinic in Sweetwater, Texas on October 4, 5 and 6, 2017. We will cover a variety of topics, including speed picking, blocking, counterpoint, C6 and more. If you are interested email me at emmonsd10@yahoo.com for more information.

The event will be topped off with a night of dancing to Jeff Woolsey and the Dancehall Kings on Saturday the 7th...cranking out shuffles and swing from the 50s 60s and early 70s with steel and fiddle aplenty.

I want to be the first to testify how successful the first clinic was in Sweetwater last December! We had a GREAT class, TONS of learning material, one-on-one guidance, and just a super-super good time doing it. Jody has everything it takes to help you become a better player, and as a bonus, I GUARANTEE that you will make as good of a friend with him as you could ever hope to have. And I don't just mean during the class,,, I mean for a lifetime. And, who could ask more than to learn from one of the VERY BEST in the steel world today! (recently inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame at the Dallas Steel Show). Even if you can't make the school, you can't beat an evening of some of the very best honky tonk music in the entire U.S.A. by Jeff Woolsey and The Dancehall Kings on Saturday night with Mr.Jody Cameron on pedal steel. It's gonna be hoppin' in Sweetwater, Texas October 4th-7th!!

Thanks Rex for the shoutout for Jody and the Clinic and for Jeff Woolsey and all us Dancehall Kings.
We enjoyed the reception snacks and drinks after we played in Synder and I enjoyed getting to shake your hand bud.Until we see you in Sweetwater be safe bud.

Jody, do you ever record these to DVD, for those who are unable to physically be there?

Dale, I do have several courses on DVD available. I just finished the 5th course in a series entitled "C6 Voicings on E9". I'm working on one that will encompass what we did at last year's seminar in Sweetwater. However, I don't have a way to record and edit my live seminars. It's too costly and time consuming, since it involves 3 full days of teaching.

Email me at emmonsd10.@yahoo.com for a full description and pricing on my existing courses. Thanks for your interest!

Dale,

I bought Jody's Heart of a Clown voicing for E9th. One of the best investments I ever made!!!. He really explains it and will open a lot of new doors and ideas for you. Highly recommended.

Thanks Jody.

Thanks Mark, and Happy Fathers Day to you and all the Dad’s here on the Forum....
I’m in the process of getting that from Jody.... I actually messaged him after I got of the phone with you about it.... I’ve watched several of Jody’s YouTube videos where he’s playing 6th on top and it’s very impressive.

Jody, it was so great having you conduct the clinic here in Phoenix last Jan. Everyone raved about learning the C6 voicings on E9. You did a fantastic job as usual.. Take care in your travels.

Love those CDs, by the way...

I'm happy to announce that my friend and steel guitar mechanical whiz, Mr. Mickey Adams will be joining us in the Seminar. Mickey will be discussing, explaining and answering mechanical questions pertaining to the pedal steel, and presenting mechanical concepts, so even dummies like ME can understand it. We will have at least part of a day devoted to this topic.

I'm delighted to have Mickey involved in this event!

Plus, we may get him to share some insight on the E9 tuning if he so desires. Mickey's participation is an added bonus for no extra charge!

I was just looking over my paperwork on the seminar, and I have 2 places left. I will not be taking more than 10 students, so everyone can get what they need.
So if you are interested, please confirm with me soon to assure a spot.

Thanks Mickey, and thanks to all of my students. This just keeps getting better and better!

Having Mickey there is quite a bonus. Where in Sweetwater will the event be held? I will be there and want to make motel reservations.

I can attest that Jody gives great seminars. I attended his C6 on E9 seminar in January in Phoenix. You can't go wrong hanging out and learning from Jody, a great player and teacher.
