Has anyone ever seen an Emmons SKH with a Lacquer body?

Hi Skip,
Wow, that's a beauty!! I noticed that it must have push-pull necks (rather than the longer LeGrande necks). I guess it must be an early one. Did someone change out the cast pedals from the extruded ones?

Wow, that is rare beauty. Wonder if maybe it is a transition guitar because it looks push pull except the Short keys and changer. Very nice, wish it was mine too, lol.

Here is my one. I bought it from the original owner. I have all the original paper work from the factory. It was shipped on 1-22-99 original price was $3584.00. It is a LG111 with counterforce on both necks, was 8x5 (8x8 now) had 108n pickups which I still have and was peacock blue finish. It has the late model changer not the original slotted changer used on the early SKH guitars. Serial #1912L invoice #13226. The guitar has had minimal playing and is in great condition except the blue stain has faded badly. I am considering a complete strip down, polish all metal parts and a refinish of the body leaving the body in a natural finish as the wood is very pretty except I might do the front panel between the inlays in cherry red. I had the extra 3 knees installed in Texas and non genuine parts were used which I am not happy with and would replace to bring the guitar to full factory specs. I also plan to install Telonics 409 pickups which I like a lot. It is a super nice Emmons and sounds superb up and down the neck. I would be interested to hear if there is another guitar like it out there.

Me to. Wish Skip knew the serial #. If it's above 10 L I'll guess it's been customized. Never seen any of the first 10. However, if you wanted something bad enough and had the bread. Ron would build most anything you wanted. My dad was an Emmons dealer for a while. A customer wanted a D-10 with a 25 inch scale for E9. Ron was against it. But the customer insisted, ( I'll spare you the story of why.) and Ron reluctantly went along with it. The guitar was sold at auction disassembled a few years back. I keep looking for it to show up here. But it hasn't yet.
Back to the topic. Yes Ron SR. would take custom orders. But I know of 3 now deceased PP mechanics that were always experimenting and trying to improve the wheel.Example. All 3 converted several PP's to all pulls, Bolt ON's to Cut tails.Wraps to Bolt On's and many other things I won't get into. And those 3 were from my neck of the woods. No telling how many nation wide. Without personal inspection it's anybody's guess if the guitar in Skips picture is all factory. I feel sure it's a LeGrande cabinet. Weren't the experimental LeGrandes built on a PP body? Maybe Mike Cass will see this and chime in.

Yeah, guys...would like to know more about this one, myself. Actually, I wish I could just turn it over and read you the serial #...
I'd say it's a hybrid one-off or early transition gtr.
Wonder who owns it?
I just hope it hasn't been turned into a wagon...
