Hi David,

I have just been researching keyboard bags for this very purpose. Sweetwater sells the Gator line. There are about 10 of them for various sized keyboards. The site gives the measurements. And Sweetwater has an easy return policy if the bag doesn't work.

You could even have one bag for pedal bars and rods, the other for the steel.

Check them out. Chris

I use a Gator keyboard bag with wheels and a retractable handle. Works great.

You might want to consider this option if you haven't already...

Nick Reed is using a keyboard "bag" for one of his PP Emmons and another for the legs/rods/pedal board.

I think he posted on the forum about it a couple years back.

I've been using Kaces 49 key keyboard bag for three years. It's available from Musician's Friend. I made a hardboard padded platform to protect the top and front. On Forum "Gig bag deconstructed".JS

The fibre split cases in Gary's link weigh hardly more than a gig bag and will offer more protection. Of course, they're not collapsible like the gig bags and probably cost quite a bit more dough.

They've been a real relief for me packing a D10, though.

Anything to split up the weight. The little box works pretty good for ShoBud or Carter legs, pedal bar and rods. But only on those days when I'm feeling pretty confident in my manliness.

P.S. Be safe, wear a helmet.
