I watch Hee Haw on RFD and I was wondering who the steel player is for Buck Owens. He started playing steel after Jerry Brightman left the show. He plays a Mullen steel and sometimes plays guitar. The shows that are currently airing is 1978. They never run credits for the musicians. Does anyone know his name?

I remember Terry Christoffersen played with Buck on Hee Haw for a time. He was the guitar player too. Only one I remember who played both.

There was a T.V. show that aired of a live concert that Buck did late in his career(which I believe was recorded at Billy Bob's) that featured Terry performing double duty. He was playing a 'Steinberger' guitar at the time which most likely proved less obtrusive than a Telecaster when switching instruments became necessary, (many times in the same tune).

I saw Buck at the Bumbershoot Festival here in Seattle in the late 80's, and Terry was playing steel and lead guitar then.

A few years back we stopped at the Chrystal Palace in Bakersfield on the way south. The Steel player amazed me how he could switch between Steel & Lead guitar so quickly. He sat on a stool, had extended legs on the steel and played very, very well. Could this have been Terry Kristoffersen ??
