Stringmaster question

Were all the long scale (26") stringmasters the ones with the chrome pickup covers/lollipop tuners etc. Or did they make the later style with black plastic pickup covers in 26" too.

If so, when did they discontinue the long scale ones?

All the 26" were as you described. That model was discontinued by 1955, though I suppose there could be some from '55 out there.
