i have never played a d-12 always d-10. any of you guys
play a d-12 and is hard to get use too??

I recall Buddy Cage playing a double 12 Emmons push-pull.
Pretty rare. |

i'd start by taking off the two bottom strings. |

Personally, I always thought it was odd not too have the root on the bottom like an E9 10 string.
That's why I play a 12. |

Personally, I prefer the D-11.

bobby black played a d12 with commander cody at one period with the lost planet airmen. he augmented alot of horn lines and such back then. he could cover a horn section without horns.
then he came down to earth one day and went back to the d10. what a fantastic player...still putting others to shame. ...even with a console steel. |

I've played D-12s since the early 70s and have trouble trying to sit in on a 10 string. My current guitars are in my signature. _________________ Jim Smith
