Thanks guys, that bar slam is a combination slam and boo-wah tone effect. Start with the tone control set to full bass and the volume full on. Slam the bar down... and at the same moment twist the tone control to treble to get the wah sound. It works well on older guitars because the tone goes from bass to treble instantly on most vintage guitars. Modern guitars have a more gradual sweep, bass to treble.
