Looking to sell my Mullen Royal Precision SD10 E9 pedal steel guitar.
What can I say, it's a Mullen and it is fantastic. Super solid, always stays in tune, sounds amazing.
This guitar is in perfect condition, no scratches or dings or anything.
I am including the D2F cover that was made for it (part of the reason why it is in perfect condition.) The case is in great shape as well.
Please let me know if you have any questions or want to see any other pictures of it.

Nice looking guitar. I am confused though…
Please don't be offended, but I do not understand why your price is so high. I'm sure you are aware, but a new guitar of this model costs $2900, brand new. Sure its "mint." but tt's used. "RP" it could be over ten years old.
Please help me understand why you would ask for so much, and will someone actually buy a used guitar that could be a decade old when $200 would fetch a new one, possibly with improvements dep on how old yours is. Why? Anyone? |

I probably should have posted this asking for a ballpark value. I didn't know what to list it at so I figured I would start there, but I guess I was way off. I'm sorry about that.
I didn't mean to offend anyone and I apologize for that.
What would you say is a more appropriate price point for this?
I could use some help on this, and I appreciate any input. Thank you

Beautiful guitar.
I don't know about the price, but I just wanted to mention that I never saw a steel with an electrical outlet installed in the end plate! _________________ Sierra Crown D-10 |

new RP is $2911 , that is before tax, shipping and insurance, I would guess after all that it is probably around $3300 ... I don't see the price in OP, so I don't know how much was asking price for this guitar, but there is no difference between new or 10 year old Mullen RP... 2005 Mullen RP if in mint condition (like this one) will look, sound, and play just the same as 2015 Mullen RP... and I believe high value for this guitar could be around $2800 or more, it saves a buyer almost $500.00 and there is no waiting ... Encore and Stage One sell used for almost just as much as the new ones ... and don't let me start on Franklins... _________________ www.steelguitarsonline.com |

Jim, not the 1/4" jack, but look to the let of the jack to see what I'm referring to. _________________ Sierra Crown D-10 |

What Damir said. I don't think the price is out of line at all, especially if it's minty. I'll also add that IMO we should only post nice comments in the thread itself so as not to undermine the sale. If you want to negotiate on price then send the seller a message. If you don't even want to do that then you don't have a dog in the fight and should possibly say nothing at all. _________________ 2 cheap dobros, several weird old lap steels, and one lifelong ticket to ride on the pedal steel struggle bus. |

I had two guys tell me that i was asking to much for a Steel that i want to sell and then another Guy Sold his Amp on my Thread for less money. Now what is wrong with some of these people. They use your thread to sell the same thing you are trying to sell. I think that is black mail and cut throat.

Damir must have a change of heart about not undermining someones sell ad. He didn't mind posting a picture of a Ford Maverick with a funny comment on my ad when I was selling a Sho-Bud Maverick.
I'd buy your Mullen in a heartbeat if I had the $$$$.
Great looking guitar. |

I don't think you are. The correct price is whatever a buyer is willing to pay for it. For the reasons Damir gave there are good reasons for buyers to be interested at this price. It's a common and sellable color. It's minty. It's a friggin Mullen! If it takes awhile to sell edit the thread and change the price -- if you want. This is your sale, not the commenters'. _________________ 2 cheap dobros, several weird old lap steels, and one lifelong ticket to ride on the pedal steel struggle bus. |

I think I am going to make a neutral type comment. A person has. XYZ. He decides to sell it. If he wants it to move pretty quick, he will price it below a market type price. If he doesn't want or need to sell it quickly, he will be more in the typical market price. If he is not really concerned about selling it in a fairly quick time, he will price it above the typical market price.
I suppose we still have kind of free enterprise system. Maybe not as free as our founding fathers intended. Someone can price something as he feels, as long as it is legal.
IMHO if you see something that you might think is in your opinion a little high, make an offer or walk away. I think most of the time the supply/demand will dictate price.

I appreciate the input from everyone.
I'll list it at $2500 and see if any interest is generated at that price point. |
