Is this really an electric Resonator Banjo that Melissa Etheridge is playing, And who builds these?

Gold Tone EBM-5 electric banjo - https://www.goldtone.com/product/ebm-5/

I got one of these when they first came out about 10 years ago. It gives a passable banjo tone in a loud band, but you will never mistake it for anything like a Mastertone-type banjo. But I do prefer it to the Deering Crossfire I had for a while for playing banjo in louder bands.

I have one, they're pretty cool. Beside giving a passable amplified tone, they're great for practicing as the acoustic volume level is so much lower than a standard resonator banjo. They also make open that's more tele shaped.
