I wanted to share that I had a wonderful tech experience with John Widgren.
I live in Brooklyn so I had to commute to Wilton CT (about 50 miles) but it was totally beyond worth it. He did a very intense setup on a Emmons Le Grande III that needed some SERIOUS TLC. In a short afternoon John set up the guitar exactly how I wanted, fixed a myriad of issues, answered every question I had, and took a guitar that had trouble staying in tune to making it sound and feel better than any steel I've ever heard or played. He's also a phenomenal player, a great guy, and his rates were beyond fair. If anyone is in the NY, Jersey, CT or actually anywhere wants to fully unlock the potential of their steel they should definitely reach out to him. |

I've known John for 25 years, and he IS the best when it comes to playing, setup, and just all around information on PSG. And, he loved to talk for hours on PSG, even when I was a beginner back in the mid-80s. _________________ A couple D-10s,some vintage guitars & amps, & lotsa junk in the gig bag. |

I recently acquired an Emmons PPS10 that John had set up. It plays beautifully, the best action of the few PP guitars I have played. |
