I just loaded my vintage Altec speaker into a Seismic Audio cabinet that has non-traditional almost cube-like dimensions. See it here if you're interested: http://www.seismicaudiospeakers.com/empty-guitar-cabinet-1x12/p/Luke-1x12TR_BLWH

The Altec speaker has always sounded good, amazingly clear, but a little weak in bass frequencies. I tried it in a combo and in a traditional pine cabinet, but wasn't happy with it for pedal steel. But in the Luke cabinet it just sings! Great for pedal steel or 6-string. Have not played out with it yet, just low volume at home.

My Altec is a one-of-a-kind mongrel put together by Dusty's Speaker Reconing (ebay seller), who said that if the Altec company had wanted to build a D120, this would be it. Tried to sell it here on the Forum a while back, thanks for not buying it! Very Happy

I've got Altecs in my Twin Reverb and I love the tone!
