After years of "straight" steel I am now trying PSG (Thanks to Fred Justice.)

I quickly discovered that string spacing will require the most adaptation. The knees have not been an issue thus far (with my limited utilization time.) The pedals are now much more manageable since I discovered that my feet REALLY like symmetry in height.

I have a smallish, custom-cut marble slab to utilize for a left heel rest. It elevates that foot to the same height at my right foot when the VP is at it's median.

I finds this works much better for me.

Just FYI...YMMV

If you will use the picking and grip exercises from this website, you will get your muscle memory set for pedal steel in no time.

I have started on the exercises you were kind enough to inform me about. They are beginning to help.

Thanks again,
