My wife and I are making our semi-annual trek back to the old home front of SoCal and stopped by Branson, Mo. on the way. We'd never seen the "Bald Nobbers" show so we checked into the Bald Knobbers motel for the deal they had with a motel room and two show tickets included. It was a very good show and I noticed that Johnny Cox was on steel with the show. I talked to him at intermission and found he'd only been there a couple of days. Needless to say he did an outstanding job with the show and I know we're all happy to see him alive and pickin'... Great show JC... If any of you are in Branson this season be sure to stop by the Bald Nobbers show to check out Johnny... He's a good 'un...JH in Va...

I wonder what happened to Mel Tillis? He had a post on facebook that he was going to work for Tillis.

Most of Mel's shows are in Branson and are afternoon shows. Johnny is able to do the Baldknobbers show along with Mel's show. I moved to the Presley's show and I'm so glad Johnny was able to fill my void at the Baldknobbers.

It was Kevin Clemmons, I don't know where he went when he left Presleys. Dean will do a great job.

His name is Kevin Clemens and he has an accounting business. When he took the job at Presleys 5 years ago, I think things were kind of slow at the time and now I think things have been picking up and he didn't want to do shows full time anymore. I'm not sure what his plans are as far as playing anywhere else but whatever it is it will be at his discression instead of being tied down.

It's great to hear Johnny will be playing with the Baldknobbers! I really hope they accommodate his capabilities with the proper music!!

Thanks for the kind words folks.
I am working in Branson with Mel Tillis, The Baldknobbers Jamboree and Roundup On The Trail.
Come to Branson and you can still hear steel guitars and dobros.

Johnny, come by and visit some time. I'm just 20 miles north of Branson.
