This is a Fender Deluxe with 8 strings, in a walnut finish. This lap steel was originally available in 1946 and was in production until 1955. It features a volume and tone knob to control the trapezoidal "Direct String Pickup" invented by Leo Fender. It has a wide range of tone from bright to super warm, which makes it extremely versatile!
Our price: $1099
Currently setup for C9 tuning
(.46/.42/.34/.30/.24/.22W/.17)

I have the exact same guitar, same color and everything. They're great, very versatile, and a piece of history.
The serial on mine is 463, or thereabouts.
I think it's a '48.
Good luck with the sale, somebody's gonna love this thing.
And it most certainly is a Deluxe:

Sorry 'bout that, I was under the impression that the Deluxe had Stringmaster features. _________________ <b>Rick Johnson Cabinets<b>

I was thinking the same thing. Thought the trapezoidal pickup indicated a Professional. |

Yes, the wacky Fender steel naming department
If it were a double neck with those trap pickups, it would be a Dual Professional
If it had 3 necks it would be a Custom Triple. |
