My knees end up 5 1/2" below body of guitar and knee levers are 6 1/2" below. Is this right? So I'm barely catching them. Should I get a cushion? Or Cut the legs down. 'Tis a home-brewed guitar. |

I did the same when I built mine - I wasn't quite sure so I made them too long (better than too short). Cut them down to give an inch or two clearance depending on whether you have any vertical levers. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

Thanks for info. To clarify: Cut the legs down right? so I have a couple of inches between my knee and the bottom of the psg body? |

Be cautious - I cut too much off at first and had to add a bit back on which was a pain! Your levers are the right sort of length, by the sound of it. If you are average height you will want about 26" between the floor and the bottom of the rear apron. You will have to shorten the pedal rods as well, of course. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

Stephen - Prior to commencing on cutting down the guitar legs, I would first verify that your seat height is correct. Thighs roughly parallel to the ground. Good Luck. |
