Recently, I attended a benefit for a local steel guitar player with liver damage, and he needs a new liver or a new medicine that is just coming out (at over $1000.00 a pill). He contracted Hepatitis C when he was 17, and he is now in End Stage Liver Failure. We are holding a series of fundraisers to try and help him and his family. Here is a video of me playing a song I had never heard before. Granted, it's not a very difficult song. The band consists of members from 5 different bands, not counting the singer. It came off pretty good in my opinion.

My bride says(while I'm checking out your clip)"Ed, who is that? They sound really good!" There you are Richard...we both enjoyed it! We'd come see/hear y'all, if you'd been closer to us!
Thanks for sharing, I've enjoyed both vids you've posted this year! _________________ “TONESNOB†|

One of the biggest challenges I've encountered is sitting in with a new band "live".........
Virtually every song they play is unfamiliar or, it's in a different key from what you've played in over the last hundred years.
That's just life I'd say. |

Last night I did a gig with a girl who I don't usually play with, but whose record I played on. I prepared by playing along with the recording and grabbing the parts. All was fine until one of the dobro tunes... I was tuned down to F# which was the key we cut it in. Started to play and everything was wrong. They were in F! I don't know if I've ever been that lost before onstage. The worst part was that I knew the song. Like a bad dream. |
