That F# seems to come in real handy on the D Lever half stop at F
Wondering if anybody else uses this . |

Ummm, what do you mean by D lever? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Must be using a lower on string 1 or 7 to adjust the half stop on the d#,d,c# change for string two (standard d lever). |

Actually, he was calling the E raises the D lever, as it was the first lever.
While I can see the appeal of raising to F# on a lever, I don't think I'd dig putting the F change on a half stop.
I'd sooner put it on a clustered LKL. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I see. I had that change on a SKH Legrande guitar and I liked it. But I didn't like the half stop. As I recall, I moved it to a second LKL and did away with the half stop. I am probably unconventional. I always call my RKR the D lever because it lowers d#. My LKL raises 4 and 8 to F, so I call it the F lever. LKR lowers 4&8 and I call it the E lever. GHI levers I've never referred to by letters. That convention I guess started from having guitars with 3 levers. Right to left labeled DEF respectfully. Instruction I got from Scotty referred to the levers that way. (I think)?
One of the few D10 push pulls that i know of that came with just one knee lever, a good friend of mine owns, but it raises E to F. He always called it the F lever as well. Amazing genius player. Does with bar slants what the rest of us do with levers. |

That confusion is exactly why I call levers by what they do.
There's zero agreement as to what to call them. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I 100% agree. I mean, I also do what Lane does. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 55 years and still counting. |
