This is our LAST mtg/jam until September 9th, 2015.
If you have ben debating about joining us in our jams with your steel, then this is the month to do it as many of out steel players have gone north.
If you are learning there is no better way than to get out there and play with a band.
See below for details.

Come see & hear what you've been missing.
Monthly updates will be posted on the Forum.
No Karaoke... we use a LIVE BAND.
And we don't charge to attend......

The club website has been updated to include a separate page for club members that have passed on. Pictures (that I have) and date of passing is included.
I have also updated the club pictures page. I still have some people to add to this page and will be doing that as I collect pictures.
Don Sulesky has been a big help providing me pictures and dates for the project.

I'm shocked to hear this. Max and I emailed each other some months back, but he didn't indicate he was having any health problems. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Max helped me get started in playing the pedal steel. Years back, when I got out of the service, I would follow him wherever he was playing to see and watch him--thinking it would help me. After awhile, Max invited me over to his house with my guitar, and showed me stuff to play. Through the years, we would meet-up at various clubs, jam sessions, the St. Louis Convention, and local steel shows--where we would always be talking/discussing everything under the sun, involving the steel guitar.
I will always be thankful for his help and encouragement on playing the steel guitar, but most important--his friendship! |
