I'm looking for a needle in a haystack, apparently, because Google has no offerings based on my search parameters and description. Anyway, I'm looking for a vintage 12" Lansing speaker that was (at one time - say circa 1965?) a speaker that Standel once used in their amplifiers of the day. My search is for my dad who resides in a nursing facility and has no access to the Internet (not that he would know what to do with a web browser anyway). His description is this: A 12" Lansing speaker with bass exhaust. It apparently has a "half-moon" mesh between the magnet and the cone, and produced a sound unparalleled back in the day. I've searched Google and Ebay for this speaker but have come up empty-handed every time. I see lots of vintage Lansing speakers, but none that match his description.
Does the description ring a bell with anyone? Does anyone have any leads on where one would find such a speaker? Been searching for months - any information would be GREATLY appreciated!
