I used my Milkman Creamer today in an outside gig we played. I miked it through the sound system and used an A/B switch to go between pedal steel and guitar. From what people tell me it sounded great out front as well all I wanted, volume wise, on stage. These amps really are great, thank you Tim.

People think I'm nuts when I say that my 20W covers 99% of my gig and session duty. Now you have confirmed that I'm not crazy

Speaking of playing outdoors, I hope I'm not terribly off topic in saying that I played my first Fair gig on a stage, under a medium tent, with my PSG 85W amp (just in case). The amp was mic'ed, but I had LOTS of onstage volume while barely reaching 4. And it was clean and clear, with many effects ahead of it. I was considering whether or not I might need to replace the PSG amp with the upcoming hybrid amp of Tim's, but after this gig, I realize I just don't need to go that route, with the bonus of keeping a full tube sound.

As Paul Simon once said ..." One mans ceiling is another mans floor " .....I guess what I am trying to say is that it's up to the individual as to how loud things actually get on stage , how many players in the band, and the venue being played .....
I can see how a pedal steel player , and a guitarist can get away with a 20 watt amp running pedals and all , but the amp would still have to be mic'd ..... Again , YMMV ....... Jim

If the Pedal Steel Amp isn't loud enough, you all need to turn down, you will be deaf soon....if I could still carry a 55lb Milkman amp, I wouldn't be giving the Half 'n Half a second thought...

True enough, Steve. I don't like having to play loud, but most of what I do is music with a -rock suffix, so that typically entails volume. Still, I want the superb tone the 85W delivers.
Weight is certainly a reason I was looking at the Half & Half (and may again before long), but fortunately I don't have to haul the PSG out to every gig and rehearsal.
