At rehearsal last night the bass player brings this out and asks if I know anyone who can give it the once over. He doesn't want it restored just to be made playable.
Presumably called a "Willanowski" made by Willie Willanowski. Anybody?

Those are cool instruments, tackiness notwithstanding. I remember one being for sale on Craigslist years ago. I'd love to play one.

Make sure to contact some top guitar mags if/before Tom takes it on, he and 'they' have done great articles on restorations and this would be a great candidate to view the process and learn more about these stunning steels.
