Hi
I would love to get any better on the Dobro(there is maybe still some hope! Oh Well )
I would love to get 1 to 1 lessons for 5-7 days
Country, Blues, maybe a little Rock and Bluegrass. It can be somewhere in the world, USA or Europe, I just want as much input I can get!
Who can help me on this???

(I'm not shure I'm here on the right place, so I post the same thing on the "for sale: Music,Lesson" topic
looking for to hear from someone!
Andy

There are a number of ways to go about this, including staying at home and doing it via Skype (webcam) lessons on your computer screen.

But there really is no substitute for being with a teacher one-on-one.

Since you are willing to fly to the U.S., check out these two guys for starters - Jimmy is on the east coast in New Jersey, and Mike is not too far from me in Northern California, a couple hours from San Francisco. Both are superb players with a gift for teaching, and really good guys. There are others I would recommend as well, but I'm going to start with these two.

I've been working through Jimmy Heffernan's "Dobro Handbook". Highly recommended.

I'm a student of John Ely's via Skype... He's known for teaching electric straight steel, but I understand he also has some Dobro students as well. From what I know, he does the straight up dobro thing GBDGBD with the stevens bar and all the other stylistic this and that. John's definitely the best music teacher I've ever had, so, that might be worth looking into as well as all of your other options...

ResoSummit is where you want to be.

The best of the best teach, Auldridge, Douglas, Ickes, Hall, Giegerich, Travers and others.

-edit- This list is a representation of past instruction. I have not heard who is confirmed for 2014.
