Gary is still making them, but like most of the steel makers, doesn't put much time into the network of tubes.

Lane, I had the pleasure of playing this guitar prior to Derek buying it, as I recollect it is standard Emmons set up ( E's on left leg) , it played well ,with no problems on it I could see,was a real nice guitar. _________________ MSA Millenium SD10, GK MB200, Sica 12inch cab, Joyo American Sound Pedal/ Jay Ganz Straight Ahead amp, Telonics 15inch in Peavey cab, Digitech RP150, Peterson tuner.Hilton volume pedal.Scott Dixon seat and guitar flight case. |

Derek, changes to a copedent don't affect the value of playability, and if Malcolm says it wasn't funky, I'd take his word for it. I'd ask why you're asking the question, as steel guitars have more value with functionality than the "originality" that most other guitar markets worship at the feet of.
If it had originally been built with a strange copedent and now has a standard one, if you're new at these things (if you're not, I apologize for drawing the inference), you're better off now. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Derek.....I talked to both Gary Carpenter and Curtis Houge. Curtis is making the SD10's and Gary is building the D10's. Both don't get on the forum much but you can reach them by phone. _________________ 2010 Rains 3x5 SD10, 2006 Rains 3x5 SD10 Powered by Quilter Tone Block 202 and 15' and 12' Custom Speaker cabs |

Derek, from what I know of guitar I am pretty sure it left the factory with that set up, contact Ted, he might be able to confirm that.Regards Malcolm _________________ MSA Millenium SD10, GK MB200, Sica 12inch cab, Joyo American Sound Pedal/ Jay Ganz Straight Ahead amp, Telonics 15inch in Peavey cab, Digitech RP150, Peterson tuner.Hilton volume pedal.Scott Dixon seat and guitar flight case. |

Chris, I assume they are referring to YouTube as network of tubes.
Gary nor Curtis are big on the net and don't get on the web Hardley any.
Rains are top notch guitars and glad they are still making some. _________________ Henry Matthews

Chris, the late Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska famously (or perhaps only sorta famous, since you either didn't hear of it or have forgotten it) called the internet "a network of tubes." Or perhaps it was "Series of Tubes".
(Edited to remove semi-political content. Is that better, B0b?)
Just checked. It was, in fact, "Series of Tubes."
