Repainted black. Serial number D469, Fender name plate says Fullerton not "Dual Professional" like the earlier brown-fretboard examples. Note no leg sockets. I don't think I saw any date markings, but Fender probably hadn't started the practice by early 1949. If they ever were there, they might be hard to see, given the black paint. Apparently original pots date from the 48th week of 1948, so guitar manufacture is probably early 1949. The case is probably not original (although it is some Fender's original case)--it has a leg compartment and this guitar never had legs. Neck selector switch looks like a recent replacement.
