funny how a person can wander from checking out guitars here and then end up on the sellers website listening to their cool music....I just purchased your tune "China plate". What a great sounding tune. As well as your others. Nice Dobro too by the way, just not in the budget at the moment.

Hi spencer:

I have what appears to be the same guitar which I've tried to pin down approximate age. I know it was bought from Monkey Wards in 1945, bought has to have been built much earlier.

Mine doesn't have a Dobro Logo, no serial number so I think it would be just Regal. The body is 3 1/2" deep. The bridge is trapeze. The cone cover has the napkin fold type shaped holes.
Just wondering what the body depth is of yours.
I'd sure like to pin mine down a bit better re age.
Thanks a bunch.
Dick

Hi again spencer.

What is the body depth? 3 1/4" or 3 1/2"?
I mentioned in an earlier post yours is a very close cousin of mine. Knowing the depth will help me more closely date my Regal.

Sure would appreciate your checking when you get a chance.

Thanks a bunch.
Dick

I like my old Regal. It plays nice and loud.
