Looked like PF played through one of those new 68 Custom Twin Reverbs. Of course, he sounded fabulous. |

When Vince sat down on the stool to watch PF "go to town on the steel solo", the crowd realized they were seeing some "serious" country. Way to go, Paul! |

Very good. Always rushed but it is a TV show with limited time.Getting it out there which is great for the Steel Guitar world we love. RS _________________ Franklin D10 Stereo - 8 and 6 - Black Box-Zum Encore 4 and 5 Nashville 400,Session 400, DD3 for delay ,also Benado Effects pedal.

Real country music on network tv, what a novel idea. Paul Franklin sounded great but no one can play "Togeher Again" with the pure simple beauty that Tom Brumley did. |

Did you guys catch the name of the act? It was not "Vince Gill." It was "Vince Gill and Paul Franklin."
It's great that Paul is actually getting some recognition from the general public. I wish though that Leno had talked to him as well as Vince. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

Thoroughly enjoyed Vince & Paul on The Tonight Show, their performance was magnificent. It actually gave me "goosebumps"! I could be mistaken, but I thought that I could see a "master" volume control on the Fender Twin Reverb. If so, it was probably a vintage 70's model. |

What a great job by both of them.I sat here with my wife Anna and we listened to them and I got all filled up because I wanted to be able to play Steel Guitar like that so bad and I also was thinking how great my good Friend Ray Walker played as good as what I just heard and it is all gone now. I had to sell my Steel Guitar that Ray Walker and Jack Palmer built together and it is all the way on the other side of the country in Origin.I now have a Dynalap lap steel along with my Dobro to play. I hope I will be able to play the Lap Steel as good as Doug Beaumier who is also a good friend.

Ted, I love what Tom did in the solo of Together Again, both in the studio recording and his live performances, but I don't believe Buck gave Tom the same freedom that Vince gives to Paul. In my humble opinion, Paul was paying tribute to Tom Brumley as well as John Hughey along with his own personal touches that Vince so loves. Anyone can see that that Vince loves Paul and Paul loves Vince, what else can you bring to an audience but lots of heart. Dick, thanks for posting the link to the show. _________________ Bill Bailey

Thanks guys, I know I am not the only one who saw that. Tom Brumley was the first steel player to ever make me cry the first time I heard Tom play "A Maidens Prayer" on the Buckaroos instrumental album, and I am not ashamed to admit it. _________________ Bill Bailey
