Been doing some reminiscing with some friends about the early days of playing and bands and such, and looking back on people who influenced our entry into becoming a professional musician. I gotta say that the guy who helped me get started and kept me in the game was Mr. Tommy Cass, and I owe a lot to him. I met him right after I bought my first guitar from Al Eyles, a Fender 400, and he referred me to Tommy for some lessons. Tommy got me right into a a real guitar, an Emmons PP, and got me started on the basics. He was on the road a lot, but always seemed to show up in town about the time a hit I bump in the road, and seeing him play was always inspirational. So this is just a shout out to a great guy and great player (as well as a great tech and rebuilder) who I owe a huge part of who I am to...thanks, Tommy!! _________________ John Macy

I've known Tommy quite a few years myself. He rebuilt my Emmons P/P a few years ago. I visit as often as I can. It's a two hour ride but worth it just hang out with Tommy. And the guitars he has are just beautiful and play great. He is very meticulous about the setup. He's the best. |
