I have a GFI SD 10, with volume pedal, a Peavey Deltafex and a Crate 30 Amp. I use the deltafex for delay. Some tell me I shouldn't use the deltafex and the reverb on the amp at the same time, that it will damage the amp. any advise on this? Thanks, Jack |

Won't damage a darn thing. Might not sound great, but it can't harm anything. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Lane is correct.
To take it a step further, I'd suggest listening to the sound you get with the reverb in the Deltafex vs the reverb in the amp. You may like it better AND it doesn't sound like a thunderstorm if it's jarred AND it may actually sound better and be less prone to failure or problems than amp reverb. Listen with and without a little delay. I'd check out the Chamber Reverb settings on the Deltafex.
Worth a try. _________________ Larry Bell - email: larry@larrybell.org - gigs - Home Page

ALTHOUGH: how easy is it to tweak reverb values in the Deltafex? Probably more than just goosing a knob.

Thanks. Right now I'm just using the Deltafex with the amp reverb turned off. It actually sounds better than the amp reverb. I think I'll leave it at that. Thanks you all for your input. It's good to be able to get help like this. Jack |
