Can anyone identify positively who was the wonderful steel player for the George Jones tribute by Msrs. Strait & Jackson?

Yes that has to be Paul Franklin as he was the only one "in-tune" all night. Had to listen to it cause I was home sick and my roommate had it on..ha...>there must have been something wrong with their monitor system as the only two things I heard intune was Vince and Paul. That's it..ha.

I have been informed by PM, that this most soulful performance was by the great Paul Franklin....all I can say I was touched by the moment and it was amplified by that Steel performance.......TX

Many of the singers sounded pitchy to me on the CMAs, and I have noticed it for the past few years. Many of the singers were spot on. Most of the comedy fell short.
Alan and George sounded great until they tried to sing in unison. I am glad to find out that Mr Franklin played on that tribute, so that I can go back and have another listen, as he is one of my favorites.
