Just found this great video in my collection of the late Gene O'Neal.

Plus some SUPER picking by the International Steel Guitar Staff Band.

Enjoy

Thanks for a posting this bill. i sure do miss gene's playing. One of my all time favorites fur shore. I think "Funky Monkey" is my favorite of all the ones gene did. This song is a great example of gene's talent as well.

He was indeed a great player... Some years back I was in Nashville and went to Printer's Alley to a club to see an old ex-So Cal boy named Jimmy Snyder. It just so happened that Gene was filling in that night and I got to meet him and talk a little steel and enjoy his live pickin'... He was a killer player who left us way too soon......JH in Va.

I got to see Gene several times, when he was playing
for Charlie Pride, when they stopped in Albuquerque.
His playing was awesome and I really enjoyed it.

Jimmy Snyder always put on a great show when he played the Caravan East, in Albuquerque. I've lost
track of Jimmy. Is he still performing?

Let's not forget the great Bobby Caldwell. Both great players.
