Get your kicks on Route 66 at Baxter Springs Steel Guitar Show! For around 10 years the KSGA has been the place of enjoyment for a whole lot of people!!! It happens to be one of my favorite places! Thanks to Ray, Lee, and Norma Jean for their efforts to spread the cheer of the sounds of the steel guitar! I understand there's around 40 pickers that will be at the show this year. That alone, speaks volumes! When you consider that people come from south Texas, Phoenix, AZ and other distant places attest to the 'good' stuff that's available at the Kansas Convention! Venda and I have been so honored to have been able to be present every year. The talent has been superb....the welcome and fellowship so contagious...it seems everyone is 'takin' up' with being friendly and melodious. The yum-yum gang has always provided tasty and generous food stuffs! For me, I can't resist walking back and forth to get another morsel of delicious goodies! You just can't miss going to Baxter Springs, Oct. 4, 5, and 6! Of course our main interest is at the church service on Sunday morning as we sit together at Jesus' feet. So, come one, come all!!!

Hey Jerry, how do you get to the convention? We're leaving Virginia on the 1st of October to go to California but we're stopping by Branson on the way. It sounds like the Baxter Spring event might be close enough to work that in. What is the address and hours.........JH in Va.

Oct. 4-6. Starts at noon on Fri. All day on Sat. and Sun. The Route 66 Show is just one block off of the Highway 166 and Rte. 66 intersection. You can't miss it with all the cars and the smell of food cooking on a wood fire.

Hey, Jerry,
We'd love to have you stop by the show! If you'll be taking I-44 west, going through Joplin, MO, this would be right on your way. Take the last exit in Missouri, and it's probably only around 9 miles to Baxter Springs.

This is a great show - last year was my first and will be back again.

It is like an eating Church social with a steel show in the middle. Really

Kicks off with a get together down my the river.

Love this show
