Can a Peavey LA 400 be used for steel guitar? |

I haven't used that specific one but all of the City Series and/or Solo Series "400" model amps work pretty good for Steel, imhe.
I just read the specs on the LA and it sounds like a nice 1x12 combo amp, similar to the Nashville 400.
I have the Austin and the Reno.
I think Ray Montee owns an LA 400. |

I've had a couple of LA400's and played through one at church for 2 or 3 years. It sounded as good as my LTD400 did in my opinion. It is just a little smaller than the amps with 15" speakers. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

I have one and think it is great for PSG and about anything else I throw at it.
Most prefer a 15 spkr for psg, but, the 12 in my la sounds great. I may actually like the la more than the old nv 400 I had. Invest in Ken Fox chip set (bout the best 40 bucks you will ever spend on a pv amp) and you are gonna love the la 400 _________________ telejo, la 400, a few wonderfull TG banjos, a red tele made from what ever parts I could find, a few dobros and my beat up/butt ugly Pitzfer aluminum upright bass. |
